A Boutique Publishing Experience
Studio 33 Books publishes inspirational nonfiction by leaders, experts, and storytellers with meaningful ideas, experiences, and stories to share.
Every book is created with the editorial care, quality design, and strategic guidance expected of a professional publisher, while authors retain ownership of their work.
Launched in January 2026, we created a more personal, flexible approach to publishing. You choose the support you need, we handle the moving parts, and you stay in control of your voice—with a vetted team behind you every step of the way.
The Studio 33 Brand
Studio 33 Books focuses on extraordinary figures who exemplify the human experience—individuals who have:
Overcome tremendous odds.
Risen to leadership through authenticity.
Remained true to themselves despite cultural pressures.
Or uncovered wisdom worth passing on.
These are books with a heartbeat—stories that shift perspectives, expand consciousness, and leave a legacy.

The Studio 33 Model
As an indie publisher, Studio 33 works with authors who invest in the publication of their book under a flexible model of cost participation depending on the needs and scope of each project. Authors retain ownership of their work and a majority share of net revenues, while Studio 33 provides the editorial guidance, design, production, distribution, and publishing expertise needed to bring each title professionally to market.
Editorial Direction
Thoughtful editorial guidance through each stage of the manuscript process, from developmental editing around structure, voice, and reader experience to copy editing for clarity and consistency, followed by a final proofread before publication.
Creative Development
Refinement of the concept, title, subtitle, positioning, and publishing vision.
Formats include hardcover, casebound, tradepaper, ebook, and audiobook.
Branding & Design
Custom cover design, interior layout, visual direction, and retail copy.
We always start with the reader and the market, then work backward to determine our strategy.
Publicity & Launch
PR-driven positioning, launch messaging, media angles, and professional press materials. Full book publicity campaigns available for select titles.
TWO WAYS TO PUBLISH
TWO PATHS. SAME STUDIO 33 STANDARD.
Whether publishing independently or with Studio 33 Books, every project benefits from the same boutique, hands-on approach—thoughtful editorial direction, elevated design, professional production, and strategic guidance from manuscript to market.
CONCIERGE
For authors who want the Studio 33 experience while publishing under their own publishing name. We manage the process, bring together a trusted team, and guide the book from manuscript through publication. The author remains the publisher, retains full ownership, and receives 100% of publishing revenues.
STUDIO 33 BOOKS
For a select number of authors and projects that are a strong fit for the Studio 33 list. Studio 33 Books serves as publisher, working closely with each author to shape, position, and bring the book to market. Authors retain ownership of their work and receive the majority share of publishing revenues.

No two books need the same launch plan. Both publishing paths offer a menu of optional services that can be added based on the needs of the book, including Amazon optimization, trade review submissions, ebook promotional pricing, Amazon advertising, Goodreads giveaways, and custom publicity materials.
Full publicity campaigns available through Parallel 33 PR for select titles.

BUILD YOUR BOOK LAUNCH
The Experience Behind Studio 33 Books
Studio 33 Books was founded by Carina Sammartino, a publishing and publicity veteran with more than two decades of experience developing, positioning, and promoting nonfiction books.
Before launching Parallel 33 PR, Carina served as Senior Publicist at Hay House, working with influential authors including Dr. Wayne Dyer, Anita Moorjani, and Immaculée Ilibagiza. She has promoted hundreds of books, from New York Times bestselling authors to first-timers, and built long-standing relationships with national media.

Based in coastal San Diego, California—on the 33rd parallel—Carina founded Studio 33 Books to address a gap she saw time and again: books need to be developed with the reader and marketplace in mind from the very beginning. That philosophy is rooted in her work at Parallel 33 PR, a book publicity and author branding firm specializing in nonfiction. Its PR-driven approach informs Studio 33's editorial direction, creative design, market positioning, and launch strategy, bringing together the expertise of a professional publisher with a publicist's understanding of what makes a book connect with readers.
Publicity services are available separately through Parallel 33 PR.
